“PURGATORY”
When death approached, I bowed my head
To Morpheus` crown,
not knowing that my soul would stay
in this body, tho` embalmed.
We see the soul as suffering
when purgatory bound,
that place unknown to mortals
is merely underground.

Hmm, sorta like a not so bad a death poem! I think things are looking up... well down, whatever! Just in case we're going in that direction it's a doable conception! Beats flames of fire hands down, I mean up? Thanks V!
hmmmm, I never believed in Puragatory either. Well done poem:)
I LIKE this. Different but still YOU. Nobody else could say it as well.

*Very* interesting. It has a claustrophobic, anxious effect. Or is that just me? :)
I like the image of bowing to "MOrpheus' crown."
So dark!

i get this & i like this^ Death as only the
Extended sleep of Life...whethre one is carrying
Ashes to the Ocean, or a Coffin to repose on
a schnowy day. Mortality! It's only a prolonged
nap! {and such a century, 2 have so many ghosts
in it...} ~slac~
Gives a different take on death. As bound. L, Jenn
